One rule of ethics for businesses, another for individuals

Morals and ethics.  Some people and businesses have a very high standard of ethics and morals while others dont. There are people out there who do everything by the book and others who don't.  These are the people and businesses who only take things at face value and while they may not openly intend to these are people who will do things on impulse without thinking them through.

I'm talking about businesses or people who try to stretch the law as much as  they possibly can.  They may discriminate and unless you know your legal rights and responsibilities they'll get away with it.

If say an individual tried to break a contract they'd no doubt be taken to court for doing so but it seems there is another rule for businesses who do so.  Rather than being diplomatic and pragmatic these businesses will look for the easiest option.  Businesses tend to get away with it because they can afford fancy schmancy lawyers while the average Joe can't, especially if they've been given the short end of the stick in a financial transaction.

You have to wonder why businesses get away with breaking the law on multiple occasions and why more isn't done to ensure social and financial justice is served.

It's not enough for one person to stand up and fight when businesses operate illegally.  As society we all need to hold them to account.
